Situated at the heart of the Rectory Farm Estate are two beautiful trout lakes. The lakes are spring fed and the well oxygenated, gin clear water lends itself to the survival of well grown and healthy fish.  Fly Fishing for rainbow and brown trout is available either for individuals or groups and fine specimens can be caught ranging from one and a half to five pounds. The sedate activity of fishing combines well with the more intense 4x4 Off Roading or Clay Pigeon Shooting.
The peaceful, rural and idyllic surrounds are ideally suited to nymph and dry fly fishing. Fishing these waters requires careful examination as to which insects and flies are hatching at the given time of day. For the novice and beginners expert tuition is available with all the necessary tackle and flies. The thrill of catching one's first trout is a never to be forgotten experience. |
